First Prize.

 

We are happy to announce that we won a competition to design an urban plan for a site in Antwerp, Deurne (B). The competition was organized by AG Vespa, a publically owned development company. Caught between a denser urban structure and ‘Park Groot Schijn’, which acts as a natural backdrop, we felt the site needed an informal and natural character. A mix between apartments and family homes opens up to the park, making it more visible and reachable, while creating a high-density but pleasant and low-traffic residential area. The natural landscape is the true building stone of the plan, creating a framework for an arrangement of specific residential typologies.
