Official Opening!

 

On May 31st 2017 StartupVillage was officially opened by Mr. Marc Van Peel, Elderman of Antwerp.

StartupVillage is an initiative of the City of Antwerp. The project – located in the historic and cultural heart of the city - provides affordable office space for start-ups and scale-ups. Tenants are CoFoundry (Cronos), BlueHealth and Living Lab (IMEC) among several others.

 

The project entails the restoration and refurbishment of a historic ‘Hotel de Ville’, that was initially built for the family Dela Faille. It was used by the latter as an ‘avant la lettre’ business hub, where international guests could be entertained.

 

Our goal was to re-constitute the original room-by-room structure of the building, while bringing it up to par with current regulations and providing a more overall public feel.
